Art Direction: Rebrand

Guided creative department through a company rebrand for all internal and external materials.

The Problem

Yahoo got a full corporate re-brand in 2025 and our team needed to update all existing materials to work within the overarching branding, while having our own look/feel that stood out and represented the ad creative studio both internally and externally.

My Role

  • Lead the rebranding initiative for the global ad creative team

  • Get buy in from executive level leadership within our team as well as brand marketing approval

  • Build and maintain milestones by project managing and art directing design from start to finish

Original Branding

After Rebrand

What I Did

  • Identified a tiger team of designers to begin concepting and brainstorming

  • Art directed throughout the entire process including ideation, sharing exec feedback and revisions, finalizing graphics, fonts, colors and themes and image/animation curation

  • Worked hand in hand with designers to flush out our final GTM pitch deck with new branding

  • Created a user friendly style guide for the global team to reference for any new materials

  • Managed the updating of dozens of documents, decks and sites to reflect new branding

Impact

  • Our ad creative studio was cohesive with the company branding but also had our own identity, for the first time in years

  • Internal and external partners complimented the design quality and consistency of our materials

  • Non-designer sales facing partners were able to use the style guide to create their own pitch materials without leaning on our team, freeing us up to focus on client and revenue work.
